The honest caveat is Spark 3’s mixed reception. The AI-first redesign in late 2023 drew criticism for performance and stability issues, and the G2 rating (3.5/5) reflects a group of power users who preferred Spark 2’s simpler approach. The App Store score (4.6/5 across 3,200+ ratings) tells a different story — Spark remains popular with the broader user base.

What stands out

My Writing Style. After you use Spark for a few days, the AI Compose feature analyzes your sent emails and matches your phrasing, register, and sentence length. AI-generated drafts feel notably less generic than those from tools that use a one-size-fits-all tone.

Smart Inbox categorization. Spark automatically separates Personal emails, Newsletters, and Notifications into distinct piles. Unlike most priority inboxes that bury categorized messages, Spark makes all three piles visible and navigable, so nothing actually disappears.
