Affiliate Disclosure & Editorial Policy

How We Make Money
email-tools.me participates in affiliate marketing programs with a variety of email marketing and business software vendors. When you click a link on our site that is marked with rel="sponsored" and subsequently make a qualifying purchase or sign up for a service, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.
The commission rates we receive vary by vendor and product. In some cases, vendors may provide us with complimentary access to their software for the purpose of conducting an honest review. Whether or not we receive compensation — monetary or otherwise — does not influence the content, scores, or recommendations we publish.
We also generate revenue through direct advertising placements. These advertisements are clearly labeled as such and are separate from our editorial content.
Our Editorial Independence
Affiliate relationships and advertising agreements do not influence our editorial decisions. Our editorial team evaluates every tool independently, based on hands-on testing, user feedback, publicly available documentation, and objective assessment criteria that we apply consistently across all reviewed products.
Tools we recommend are recommended because we believe they genuinely serve our readers — not because they pay us a commission. Likewise, tools we rate poorly or decline to recommend may still have active affiliate programs; our editorial stance is not for sale.
We maintain a strict firewall between our editorial team and our commercial partnerships team. Editorial staff are not made aware of affiliate commission rates during the review process, and commercial partnerships staff have no editorial veto power.
If we receive a free trial, demo access, or a review copy of software, we disclose this at the top of the relevant article.
How to Identify Affiliate Links
We label all affiliate links according to HTML standards and Google's webmaster guidelines. Specifically:
- HTML attribute: Affiliate links carry the
rel="sponsored"attribute, which signals to search engines and assistive technologies that the link is a paid or sponsored relationship. - In-article disclosure banners: Any article or guide that contains affiliate links will display a disclosure notice near the top of the content, before any affiliate links appear.
- Go links: Many affiliate links on this site are routed through our redirect domain at
email-tools.me/go/. Clicking one of these links will redirect you to the vendor's website via our tracking URL.
We encourage you to be aware of affiliate relationships when making purchasing decisions. That said, we stand behind every product we recommend, and our affiliate links provide you with the same pricing and terms as going directly to the vendor's website — or in some cases, exclusive discounts negotiated on behalf of our readers.
FTC Compliance
In accordance with the United States Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 C.F.R. Part 255), we disclose any material connection between email-tools.me and the brands or products we write about whenever such a connection exists.
A "material connection" includes, but is not limited to:
- Affiliate commission payments received when readers make a purchase
- Free or discounted access to software provided for review purposes
- Paid sponsorship or advertising arrangements
- Other compensation, including non-monetary gifts or benefits
These disclosures are made in clear and conspicuous language within the content where the connection is relevant, and not buried in footnotes or fine print.
Our practices are also designed to comply with applicable regulations in the European Union (including the Digital Services Act), the United Kingdom (CAP Code), and other jurisdictions where our readers reside. If you have questions about how our disclosure practices apply in your country, please contact us.
Our Review Methodology
Every tool reviewed on email-tools.me is evaluated against a consistent set of criteria, including:
- Ease of use and onboarding experience
- Feature depth and breadth relative to stated use case
- Pricing transparency and value for money
- Email deliverability rates and infrastructure
- Customer support quality and availability
- Integration ecosystem and API quality
- Security, compliance, and data privacy practices
Ratings are assigned on a 1–5 scale and reflect our editorial team's consensus assessment as of the date published. We update reviews when significant product changes warrant it, and we clearly mark the date of the most recent review update on each article.
Corrections Policy
If we publish information that is inaccurate, we are committed to correcting it promptly. Corrections are noted at the top of the affected article with the date the correction was made and a brief explanation of what changed. We do not silently edit published content without disclosing the change.
